July 4th USA Solemn Assembly – Stand in the Gap for the Nation!
During this July Fourth week, we encourage people across the nation to set aside a time for fasting, prayer, and repentance at your church, prayer group, or family gathering. We need God to heal our land.
America’s Divine Providence is threatened, and only fervent prayer will intervene. The Church is here to represent the kingdom “for such a time as this,” (Esther 4:14). We need to ask the Holy Spirit to send a “Third Spiritual Awakening” to turn the tide in the nation!
Will God’s Grace even allow America to experience a Third Great Awakening? Many fear that the nation has run out of God’s grace; that God may not relent of the judgment that America deserves. “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required…” (Luke 12:48)
America is facing a national spiritual crisis. Electing the best qualified politicians will help, but it will not restore the nation back to God’s mercy and grace. The Church alone holds the key to the nation’s salvation….2 Chronicles 7:13-15.
God is calling America back to its roots! “Come, let us return unto Yahweh. It’s true – He has torn – but He will heal us. He struck us with His own hand – but He will bind us up” (Hosea 6:1)
Twenty five years ago, during one of my television tapings near the White House, the Lord spoke this message to me: “I want to spare America like I did Nineveh! I will send national revival if my people will act on 2 Chronicles 7:13-15.” And now, the condition of the nation has even worsened since this message was spoken 25 years ago.
Why does America face a Nineveh crisis?
The answer lies within another question: Why does the nation face such enormous economic, social, and spiritual challenges? The cup of sin is now full in America: abortion on demand has murdered approximately 53 million unborn children; increased racial hatred severely divides the nation; traditional marriage and the family structure are eroding; hatred towards God and biblical values is increasing; and the mainstream church is lukewarm with many even entering into apostasy.
America has led the world to divide the land of Israel for 20 years! Israel now faces a second holocaust ….and U.S. sovereignty is also threatened! “For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you; Your reprisal shall return upon your own head” ….Obadiah v.15.
The nations of the world are not stopping Iran’s threats to rain death and destruction down on Israel. Iran has also threated they will strike all of the US military bases in the Middle East in retaliation for any attack on Iran. They intend to shut down the world’s flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran threatens U.S. with Cyberwar: Cyber warfare analysts know that Iran intends to target major American infrastructure systems, including the U.S. power grid and other sensitive areas of the economy. Tehran wants to settle scores with Israel and the U.S. over cyber worm attacks. (http://frontpagemag.com/2012/05/30/iran-threatens-u-s-as-new-cyber-super-weapon-strikes/)
The Church needs to wake up! It’s going to take a battle! Are you ready to fight? So goes the Church, so goes the nation. During this year’s celebration of America’s independence, churches across the nation can take the opportunity to call for “National Repentance”.
SILENCE IS DISSENT!
Church leaders need to lead the way….with a Joel 2 Call for Repentance. Please set aside time for a Solemn Assembly at your church, prayer group, or family gathering.
Joel 2:12 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
13 So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.
14 Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him—A grain offering and a drink offering for the Lord your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly;
16 Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.
17 Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”
