Why America’s Destiny is at Stake!

Homosexuality, Abortion, and Forsaking Israel

The day after the 1987 Gay Pride Parade in Washington, D.C. the Stock Market crashed….this was God’s judgment upon the land.

Same-sex Marriage in America

This week the U.S. Supreme Court reviewed an historic case questioning whether the states can constitutionally limit marriage to a relationship between a man and a woman. Parties in the case argued for and against Proposition 8, the California law prohibiting same-sex marriage, passed a majority of the voters in California. The Court may take a position that the states cannot violate the equal protection clause of the 15th Amendment.

DOMA, the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act

Supreme Court justices raise doubts about federal marriage law. A majority of Supreme Court justices voiced skepticism Wednesday about the legitimacy of a federal provision that prevents married gay couples from receiving a range of federal benefits, raising questions about whether the Defense of Marriage Act will stand. The big question before the court was not whether gay marriage should be legal but whether the federal government should recognize those unions and give benefits to same-sex couples. Although DOMA remains the law of the land, the Obama administration stopped defending it in court two years ago. Currently, its defense is funded by House Republicans.

Gay marriage has been approved in nine states – Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Washington – and the District of Columbia. Thirty one states have amended their constitutions to prohibit same-sex marriage. North Carolina was the most recent example last May.

Bible-believing Evangelicals Ridiculed for Support of Traditional Marriage

If you are a conservative evangelical who believes in the biblical definition of traditional marriage then you are ridiculed as a bigot, or a narrow-minded “hater.” The tables have been turned. Evangelicals are now considered the “minority.” This is mostly due to the level of contempt by media commentators and Hollywood producers who support the homosexual lifestyle. Unfortunately, it is just going to continue to increase and get more aggressive against Bible-believing evangelicals.

In our American culture today, you can easily make the argument that it is harder to stand for biblical truth than it is to be a supporter of gay marriage in today’s society. On the other hand, Christians should never participate in hate crimes and bullying against anyone. This is a sin against God Almighty.

Decisions in both cases are expected by June. Pray for Biblical principles to be upheld in the heart of the justices. Pray for the fear of God Almighty to guide their decisions. Pray for them to be led by the sevenfold spirit of the LORD, (Isaiah 11:2-3).

The New War on Abortion: Gendercide

The most pro-life House in history targets fetal gendercide

The Republican-controlled House has been making good on its pledge to promote and adopt pro-life policies. but now lawmakers need you to join the battle to outlaw “gendercide,” sex selection in abortions. Many pro-life measures have breezed through Congress, which is why so many have called this the most pro-life House in history, but a new battle against “gendercide” has just begun.

In 2012, the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA) was introduced by Arizona’s Rep. Trent Franks in the 112th Congress, but failed by just 30 votes. The bill would have made it a crime for doctors to perform abortions simply on the basis of gender, known as “gendercide.”  Live Action had recently exposed “gendercide” at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas.  (Watch the video at: http://www.liveaction.org/)

Rep. Franks who is known for standing against abortion throughout his political career sponsored PRENDA. The floor vote was 246-168 in favor, but the bill needed 30 more votes to pass. Twenty Democrats voted for the proposal; just seven Republicans opposed it.

The bill needed a two-thirds majority under a special rule to pass. If it had passed, PRENDA would have banned abortions based on gender. One hundred million unborn girls have reportedly been killed by ongoing worldwide “gendercide.”

China, Korea and India are often criticized for their gender-based abortions, but a new video from the pro-life group Live Action reveals abortion providers may often b condoning the practice in the U.S. as well.

White House officials said “the administration opposes gender discrimination in all forms,” but “that government should not intrude in medical decisions or private family matters.”

Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), has called President Obama the most pro-abortion president in history. “It is inconceivable to me, and I hope it is to you and every American, that our Nobel Prize-winning president can refuse to protect little girls from the violence of sex-selection abortions,” Smith said.
