July Fourth | Renewing America’s Covenant with God

The Embassy for World Peace encourages praying people across the nation to stop during the July Fourth week to pray for America. Watch Ruth Schofield’s May and July Fourth appearance on Focus4 at Cornerstone Television Network in Pittsburgh, PA. View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEN-S3_ZVII

We encourage all people of faith to stand in the gap sometime during this July Fourth week when the nation stops to celebrate its Independence, and offer up national repentance, renewing America’s Covenant with the Lord God Almighty!

We urge the President of the United States, Members of the U.S. Congress, and all national and state officials, to call for and join all Americans in a national day of special prayer, fasting and repentance on July 4th, 2013 and throughout this week of Independence Day celebrations.

Hundreds of spiritual and government leaders, jointly urge that it is time to issue a public call to the people of every faith and devotion for a national day of prayer and fasting for divine intervention, like Nineveh responded to the Prophet Jonah’s warning, asking Almighty God’s mercy and grace to heal our land.

The Lord God Almighty is trying to get our attention, for people across the nation to stop business as usual, and offer up prayers of repentance. America needs to return to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 tells us how:

“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.”
