First Amendment Rights Violated!

American citizens should not have to live in fear of a prison sentence merely for disagreeing with the government’s opinion. All Americans should remain free to honor God in our lives and in our work. The government has no business threatening Americans with jail time for simply exercising their constitutionally-protected freedoms of religion and speech. Every American, whatever you think about this issue, should fear a government that ignores the First Amendment in order to exercise this kind of power over its citizens. Dec. 12, 2013–Jack Phillips is a baker who declined to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple because his Christian belief is that marriage exists only between a man and woman. Now a Colorado judge has ordered him to bake cakes for same-sex marriages, and if Phillips refuses, he could go to jail.

Phillips owns a small business, Masterpiece Cakeshop, in Lakewood, Colorado. A homosexual couple-Charlie Craig and David Mullins-visited Phillips’s store on July 19, 2012, asking him to bake them a cake to celebrate their wedding. Although the Colorado Constitution defines marriage as between only one man and one woman, these men claimed to have been already married in Massachusetts and wanted to celebrate the wedding in Colorado.

Craig and Mullins complained to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission. On Dec. 6, 2013, an administrative law judge-Robert Spencer-ruled that Masterpiece Cakeshop and Jack Phillips violated Colorado’s anti-discrimination law. Spencer ordered Phillips to bake cakes celebrating gay marriage for any other parties that ask for such a cake in the future. Read More…..

Dec. 13, 2013–This Christmas, it’s not away in a manger, it’s away goes the manger. That was the case at Shaw Air Force base, where a plastic baby Jesus almost caused an international incident. The installation’s nativity, which was an annual tradition, was abruptly moved when a group of Airmen supposedly complained that the display amounted to an endorsement of religion.

Today, the holy family is back in its rightful place — the victim of an Obama Pentagon overreach that Shaw officials say has since been corrected. According to theSouth Carolina base, commanders were never alerted to the problem by the Airmen themselves but by the Defense Department, which was acting on a missive from the anti-Christian crusaders at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF). Within hours, Pentagon officials ordered Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus to be put under wraps. Shaw officials had a better idea: moving the manger to the chapel. Until then, the scene had to be covered in a tarp — lest more Airmen be traumatized. Read More….

Dec. 13, 2013–In California, atheists are waging war in some pretty high places — 822 feet above San Diego, to be exact. There, in a beautiful memorial overlooking the ocean, rises a tall white cross. For decades, it’s stood on that spot as a peaceful guard to the legacy of our soldiers. Two thousand seven hundred plaques sit in its shadow–memorials to men and women who fought for the very freedom the Mount Soledad cross represents. But the Left, which apparently has nothing better to do than complain about a few acres of public property, is doing everything it can to bulldoze the display.

Since 1989, liberals have gone out of their way to be offended by the Memorial, which has culminated in an explosive, quarter-century lawsuit. This week, the case took another turn, as a federal judge had no choice but to order the famous cross to be removed from the memorial. As FRC’s Ken Klukowski explains in a new Breitbart column, Judge Larry Alan Burns seemed to choke up as he read the edict declaring the cross an unconstitutional endorsement of Christianity. He, like most of us, is no doubt saddened by the precedent of the Ninth Circuit, which binds his hands under its radical interpretation of the Establishment Clause. Read More….

Islamic Extremism is a growing threat within the U. S. Government ….So get informed!

Senior Homeland Security Advisor: America is an “Islamic Country”

A senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security, Mohamed Elibiary, says that America is “an Islamic country” and continues to argue that the Muslim Brotherhood is comparable to Christian evangelicals. Elibiary is a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council and was promoted in September. He also served on the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group and the Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee. He is also a long-time Texas Republican Party official and was a delegate for Senator John McCain in 2008. On October 31, Elibiary tweeted that he believes the U.S. “is an Islamic country.

The tweet was part of a conversation about whether Islam and the U.S. are compatible. Elibiary argued that America has an “Islamically compliant constitution.” He also reiterated his view that the Muslim Brotherhood is comparable to Christian evangelicals and that not all Islamists should be lumped in with jihadists and terrorists. Click here to read full article posted on The Clarion Project.

Mohamed Elibiary is the founder of Lone Star Intelligence, LLC.  He has advised numerous federal, state and local law enforcement organizations on homeland security-related matters.  In 2009 he was acknowledged in a Congressional Research Service report for advising the Information Sharing Environment Program Management Office on the Nationwide Suspicious Activity Reporting Initiative.  In 2010 he testified before Congress on “Working with Communities to Disrupt Terror Plots.”  In 2011 he was awarded the Louis E. Peters Memorial Award, the FBI’s highest public service award for “his extraordinary contributions to specific cases in support of the FBI’s counterterrorism mission.”  In 2012 the Office of the Federal Public Defender, a division of the U.S. Court, recognized Mohamed for his “tremendous service” leveraging his Homegrown Violent Extremism expertise in the United States vs. Daniel Patrick Boyd counter-terrorism case. Click here to read more

Recommended book giving documented research on Islam within the U.S. Government: “The Brotherhood” by Erik Stakelbeck

To stand up and advocate on behalf of Judeo-Christian principles in a postmodern culture and an era of clashing world views is never easy, especially when the voices of a secular minority are ever-increasing. However, our silence has permitted political correctness to dominate the societal and legislative landscape, creating deep moral and spiritual wounds that are inflamed by even the slightest reference to anything sectarian.

Presently, adversarial groups are threatening to sue if our national motto, “In God We Trust,” is displayed in community schools or the name of Jesus Christ is mentioned in almost any government setting. Using the false narrative of maintaining a “separation of church and state,” these anti-religious zealots feign outrage and are absolutely adamant about removing all vestiges of God from the public square.

Christians being absent from the marketplace of ideas has unequivocally given way to a thoroughly secularized America. Yet, according to the American Religious Identification Survey2, 76% of Americans still identify themselves as Christians and a 2012 survey by the Pew Forum3 showed that 36% of the population attended services nearly every week or more. These numbers show the media’s relentless attempts to lower and denigrate the existing spiritual vitality within our country’s fabric. Why? Because the Church has refused to use her voice, the minority opinion has successfully dominated the national message in this arena.

Our Constitution resolutely connects man’s law to God’s Law within government. The Framers essentially incorporated the keys to preserving freedom individually and nationally, and in doing so, promoted that which maintains healthy rule and national prosperity. Scriptural principles, self-government and the balance of powers were a few of the safeguards intended to protect against the inherent weaknesses of fallen humanity. Ongoing silence about these fundamental principles jeopardizes the next generation from embracing the necessary elements for preserving life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

America is a Republic, not a Democracy! The story of our founding as a free people in a representative republic established on Judeo-Christian values has proven to be a success, but is in need of serious repair. So what is the solution? It is time to recapture the passion and beliefs that inspired and moved the early patriots.

2 Chronicles 7:14 — America must turn back to God

1 Tim. 2:1-3 — Pray leaders will do what is right in the sight of the Lord

Psalm 37:1-2 — Pray for wicked government officials to be removed
