Overreach of Federal Power Marches Forward
Today’s gay marriage law is the result of a U.S. Supreme Court that was intimidated by the executive branch to break the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Their decision has positioned Christians into situations that will silence and/or diminish their rights. Where are all of those voices that claim to value the constitution and the rule of law, yet remain silent when another Christian stands up?
Presidential Candidate, Gov. Mike Huckabee had this to say: “Having Kim Davis in federal custody removes all doubt of the criminalization of Christianity in our country. We must defend religious liberty and never surrender to judicial tyranny. Five, unelected Supreme Court lawyers did not and cannot make law. They can only make rulings. The Supreme Court is not the Supreme branch and it’s certainly not the Supreme Being.
“I am proud of Kim for standing strong for her beliefs. Who will be next? Pastors? Photographers? Caterers? Florists? This is a reckless, appalling, out-of-control decision that undermines the Constitution of the United States and our fundamental right to religious liberty.
I’m headed to Kentucky on Tuesday to stand with #KimDavis. We must end the criminalization of Christianity!” Click here to sign Gov. Huckabee’s petition to Free Kim Davis
ARE YOU READY TO BE REHABILITATED FROM YOUR CHRISTIAN BELIEFS?
Secular progressives are condemning Kentucky Court Clerk Kim Davis for refusing to enforce federal law out of conscience. Just because she is a federal employee, she does not have to enforce the law when it violates her faith and that of her constituents who elected her because of her Christian values. The Religious Freedom Restoration Act assures her civil right in the workplace. Kentucky has enacted a state RFRA along with 20 other states. Click here to verify…..
Compare the Supreme Court’s law on gay marriage with the broken federal immigration laws. Has anyone suggested that the civic leaders of all the sanctuary cities be arrested?
Christian appeasers who bend their knee to the law do not understand the battle against secular progressives in the country. It has little to do with equality. They want society to think Christianity is a disease of the mind. The attorney who represents the State of Oregon that prosecuted Christian believers Melissa and Aaron Klein for refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding said, “Our goal was not to put them out of business but to rehabilitate them.”
CBN News reports that “Kentucky Senate President Robert Stivers, a Republican, has also weighed in. Stivers is asking the federal judge to withhold a ruling on the governor’s order until the state passes a new marriage law. The state legislature will not be in session again until January 2016. Kentucky law, like many other states, must be revised after the Supreme Court’s decision in June to legalize same-sex marriage in the United States.
“The Supreme Court ruling has completely obliterated the definition of marriage and the process for obtaining a marriage license in Kentucky,” Stivers said in a press release. “The General Assembly will be compelled to amend many sections of Kentucky law, not just for the issuance of marriage licenses, to comply with the recent Supreme Court decision.
“Meanwhile, Davis insists she’s ready to suffer the consequences rather than compromise her beliefs.” Read CBN’s full report:
PATRIOTIC AMERICANS DO NOT TRUST THEIR GOVERNMENT
Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert says, “Patriotic Americans have reason to be concerned when leaders within the current administration believe that major threats to the country include those who support the Constitution, are military veterans, or even ‘cling to guns or religion.’”
In addressing concerns being raised over the Jade Helm military exercises this summer in seven states: Texas Senator Ted Cruz commented, “I think part of the reason is we have seen, for six years, a federal government disrespecting the liberty of the citizens. And that produces fear. When you see a federal government that is attacking our free speech rights, or religious liberty rights [and] our Second Amendment rights, that produces distrust as to government.”
